Welcome to Claire’s urban oasis: A monochromatic marvel!

In this project, I’ve transformed Claire’s living room into a sophisticated haven of modern elegance. Drawing inspiration from client discussions, I’ve curated a colour palette that embraces the timeless allure of black, grey, and white, while infusing the space with textures that tantalise the senses.

Texture is the true star of this show, weaving its way through every element of the room – from the flooring to the curtains to the soft furnishings. Picture linen, wool, polyester, and cotton intertwining with tassels, piping, and fringes, creating a rich tapestry of tactile delights.

Central to the room’s design is a sleek modular sectional sofa in a deep charcoal fabric, offering both style and comfort. Accompanying it are sheer curtains in Morton ‘Ice’ fabric, delicately filtering light while maintaining privacy, and equipped with a convenient Somfy Irismo battery-powered motor.

But it’s not just about aesthetics – I’ve also prioritised functionality in this design. Enter the articulated wall lamp, a timeless design by Bernard-Albin Gras, paired with modern pendant ceiling lights. With Philips Hue bluetooth bulbs at the helm, Claire can effortlessly set the mood, whether she’s hosting guests or unwinding with a Netflix marathon.

Completing the space is a round marble-topped coffee table, the perfect centerpiece for gathering around, and two striking photo prints adorning the wall, adding a personal touch.

Claire’s living room isn’t just a place to lounge – it’s a sanctuary where modern sophistication meets urban charm.
